About Me : Who is editor M. ?

Hi, My name is Maryam Al Olaimy i'm 20 years undergraduate studying at Gust (Gulf University for Science and Technology). Since I was 14 I was always aspiring to be a fashion editor. I believe that knowledge is everything in fashion so when i grew up I decided to study at FIT (Fashion Institute Technology, NY) I signed up for the courses but I couldn't go because I got a job offer here in Kuwait as a website Fashion editor and stylist. During my experience at Thouqi.com I learned a lot and I have met a lot of people, I also was invited to a lot of events. Having that title was empowering since I was the only Fashion editor and stylist in universal media Building for Thouqi.com multibrand website and it was exactly what I have always wanted. And to be honest I worked hard on myself to get that job, what I liked about my French boss Linda was she really didn't care who you were or how much money you have or how pretty your clothes were as much as she cared about my fashion knowledge and how will I get my job done. as I said before fashion knowledge and details are everything to me. I was obsessed with fashion Details and still am from embroidery work, beaded fabrics, patterns, color schemes, textiles, texture madness, structure, proportions to different several styles. I can name each everyone one of them adding to that knowing a lot about mixing and matching and fashion techniques. To me technicality matters especially in fashion or how else would people differentiate between some who is claiming to know fashion and someone who actually knows. There is a difference between those who have studied and know fashion, those who like fashion and those who promote fashion.
